O Projeto Capella levou mais uma vez até ao largo da aldeia de Arroios a Festa do Tomate Coração de Boi do Douro. Às hortícolas, com destaque para o fruto que dá nome ao certame, juntam-se outros produtos locais, o artesanato, o vinho, gastronomia, aliando-se a música e cultura, num mercadinho que é uma autêntica festa, e vai na sétima edição.
A iniciativa dá outra vida ao largo da capela barroca de Arroios, que abriu as portas para acolher provas de tomate coração de boi do Douro, azeite e flor de sal.
Para Maria José Carvalho, de Arroios, o mercadinho “é uma festa, é uma vez por ano, veem-se pessoas que já não se viam há muito tempo, gosto muito”. Também produz tomate redondo, mas admite que o coração de boi é o que reúne maior preferência, “as pessoas procuram mais” e no mercado já fez “um dinheirinho”, com as vendas. “Para mim é um passatempo, agora já não trabalho e entretenho-me assim nas leiras, gosto muito de trabalhar na horta”.
Natural de Arroios, mas a morar em Torneiros, Maria Silva não falta a esta festa com as suas hortícolas.
